Rastoke

Rastoke, a picturesque village about 100 km away from Zagreb is located at the place where the Slunjčica river falls into the many brooks and waterfalls which flow into the Korana river creating many small lakes, rapids and waterfalls creating a lobby for Plitvice Lakes.

The inhabitants of this small settlement have, from as long as time remembers, utilized power generated by water to drive their mills and engaged in many activities related to milling, such as rolling clothes.

The river Slunjčica is abundant with wild trout that is served in local restaurants in many ways, both traditional and modern.
